COVID HOURS
Nursery Hours of Operation: Monday - Saturday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Butterfly Encounter Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Everyday (Last admission @ 3:30 PM)
As Floridians know, the weather can change on an hour-by-hour basis. For the safety of our staff and customers, we may close unexpectedly for inclement or severe weather conditions.
COVID Guidelines
To maintain a safe and enjoyable shopping experience for our guests and staff, we require face masks or coverings be worn when inside any buildings or when in close proximity of other guests. We have acres of space for safe, comfortable distancing while strolling through the gardens.

Field Trips and Tours
This is a journey where education, butterfly farms, plants and people meet to experience the magic of these delicate, fluttering insects. Tour the Butterfly Encounter, an irresistible atmosphere of classical music, bubbling water and hundreds of flying butterflies and flowering plants. Enter the butterfly farm where caterpillars and chrysalises live and hatch right before your eyes!
Tour Admission: $9.00 each
Guided tours are available Monday – Friday. Tours begin at 10am. A minimum of 15 paid admission for group tours. Tour educational level taught meets FL Education Standards and is recommended for ages 5 and up. Reservations should be made as soon as possible. COVID Guidelines: We are taking reservations for in-person school field trip tours with groups of no more than 25 students. For safety, we require face masks be worn while inside the Butterfly Encounter and other buildings.
Virtual Tours (NOW AVAILABLE!)
We are now offering Virtual Tours for those who are not able to make a field trip to the Butterfly Encounter. Experience the magic of nature through the lens of technology. Your LIVE tour guide will virtually walk you through the Butterfly Encounter and teach about the wonders of the butterfly life cycle (with live examples!) and other fun facts!
Virtual Tour: $150* (approximately 1 hour)
*Class size limited to 30 students
Want More?! Want to explore more about nature?! Add on a farm tour and see all the other critters that are home to Lukas Nursery & Butterfly Encounter.
Virtual Tour Add-On: $100 (approximately 1 hour)
Virtual Tours will be facilitated through Zoom or other approved virtual meeting applications provided by the school.
